The Journey has moved rooms

We have moved our Young Adult/College Ministry into the High School Room. This will be our second week in there. We are doing Q&A, praising God and studying in the Book of Romans! It is going to be awesome.

He made me

John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.”

Today is my 31st birthday. I’ve already had many people wishing me a happey birthday, and they all do it in their own unique style. Some text with personal inside jokes, one texted in a substitution cipher (I cracked it), some write nice things on facebook, others call me; I appreciate each one. They come from friends and family that I love and each shows a God’s love for me and for all of us.

Each person that encouraged me today was made by the very hand of God, formed in our mother’s womb skillfully and wonderfully, just as I was. I am very thankful for all those who love me and even more thankful for my God who loves me enough to lay down His own life that I might spend eternity with Him. Praise God today and everyday!

Matthew 15:1 Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. 2 And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.” 3 So He spoke this parable to them, saying:

4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ 7 I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

Over this past weekend we celebrated Easter. For Christians, a day when we remember that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ died for our sins, then three days later, rose from the grave as proof He has power over even death. We worshiped and enjoyed the Bible teaching, then at the end of the service an invitation was given that anyone who would believe in Jesus would be saved. At this moment I was praying that those that had fear or were thinking about being embarrassed would lay that all aside and just simply obey the voice of the Lord. Many did! It was awesome! I love it when sinners like me, find Jesus like I did, or rather when Jesus found me and I received His help. I don’t know the reaction of everyone else there that morning, but I do know the right attitude is to rejoice, for even the angels in heaven celebrate just one that comes to Jesus, how much more many!?

One of our Youth… Rockin the Drums!

The Journey on Campus Mission BC

Thank you for the prayer in what is a very spiritual battle. We will be on BC on Wednesday this week from 12:30-1:30. Come by the grass area near the commons area and see us to get Journey Cards to hand out and to pray with us before we start sharing the great love of Jesus with college students.

The Journey on Campus BC-Prayer Meeting

Come join us Wednesday Feb. 18th from 12:30-1:30, on the grass by the big rock near the cafeteria, for a time of prayer for on campus ministry. We believe that God answers prayer and that we ought to begin any work that God has called us to by asking for His direction and instruction.
